“Given what we know about the health benefits of physical activity, it should be mandatory to get a doctor’s permission not to exercise.”
Per-Olaf Astrand, MD, PhD, Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, Sweden.
Performing a periodic strength assessment is an important component in any health & fitness journey. It is important because we all need, at some point, a little motivation to get the job done. Seeing a strength improvement from baseline to follow-up can offer just that!
Benefits of Doing an Assessment
The Jefit assessment is an easy way to monitor and assess your strength and endurance capabilities. It can also help you to better understand how healthy you are and learn to set goals to improve your workout planning.
Where to Find the Assessment Feature?
The award-winning Jefit app (Android & iOS) includes a fast and effective assessment tool. There are three tests that make up the assessment. First, here is how you access the tool. Go to the “profile” tab, in the middle of that page you’ll see Jefit Assessment.
Exercises Involved
The Jefit strength assessment includes the three exercises seen below. Performing this assessment periodically, will offer you a snapshot of where your overall fitness level currently stands.
Following your first test you’ll get a score and ranking for your age group. Make sure you turn up the volume on your phone before each test. The goal is to complete as many repetitions or “hold” time as possible for each of the three tests. This test will be offered again after your initial assessment.
