A strong core is important for several reason. First, it can help to keep back injuries at bay. Secondly, all bodily movements, performed in and out of the gym, are more efficient with a strong, powerful core. The core is made up of as many as 35 muscles that connect into the pelvis. Think about all the muscles that help to tie the upper body to lower body…those are the core muscles.
